Methylfolate vs folic acid?
Methylfolate and folic acid are both forms of folate, but some people have differences in their genetics (called polymorphisms or SNPs) which make it hard for their bodies to convert synthetic folic acid into its active form (for example MTHFR mutations). Methylfolate (5-MTHF) is already in the converted form, ready for the body to use. This makes it more readily available and effective.
Folate benefits
Folate supports many important functions in the body. It supports healthy growth, repair and development of cells and tissues, including for the baby during pregnancy. Folate helps make important neurotransmitters to support mental health and wellbeing and supports healthy blood cells, immune function and energy, reducing fatigue. It also contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism (high homocysteine is a risk factor for several chronic disease including cardiovascular disease and cognitive decline).

How to take: One capsule daily with food as a food supplement or as directed by a practitioner.
