Red Yeast Rice has been part of East Asian fermentation tradition for more than a thousand years. Produced by fermenting rice with the purple-red mould Monascus purpureus, it was historically used to flavour, preserve and colour foods, especially tofu, rice wine and traditional dishes.
During fermentation, the fungus creates a family of natural compounds, including; Monacolin K, natural sterols and isoflavones and red pigments traditionally used in cooking. This ancient technique has therefore become a bridge between traditional fermentation wisdom and modern metabolic health.
Shiitake: A Mushroom with a Modern Twist
Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) has been cultivated for over a thousand years in East Asia.
In the 1960s–1980s, Japanese researchers discovered eritadenine, a unique, water-soluble compound derived from shiitake that supports lipid metabolism through methylation pathways.
MycoNutri's new formulation now contains Shiitake full spectrum hot water extract >40% beta-glucans which provids a natural complement to Red Yeast Rice.
CoQ10: Completing the Synergy
Because monacolin K and related fermentation compounds may influence the body’s natural CoQ10 status, the inclusion of Coenzyme Q10 (10% potency) ensures a balanced and supportive formula.

Growing Seasons
Red Yeast Rice: Produced in Jiangsu and Fujian provinces from non-GMO rice cultivated in warm, humid low-mountain regions. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled environments using carefully maintained Monascus starter cultures.
Shiitake Extract: Hot-water extract sourced from mushrooms grown on hardwood sawdust logs in the mountains of northern Fujian and southern Zhejiang. Two natural cultivation seasons per year: Spring (March–May) and Autumn (September–November).
CoQ10: Fermented via microbial biosynthesis using non-GMO substrates.

Red Yeast Rice: Non-GMO rice selection, Steaming & cooling, Inoculation with Monascus purpureus, 7–14 days controlled fermentation, Drying, Milling, Standardisation to ≥1.6% monacolin K, Metal detection and packaging.
Shiitake Hot-Water Extract: Dried fruiting bodies, hot-water extraction, Vacuum concentration, Spray-drying into a fine fruiting powder.
Coenzyme Q10 (10%): Fermentation, extraction, purification, blending.

An Overview of Returns and Refunds
Unless faulty, you can only return a product if unopened, unused and with the original seals, packaging or tags intact. Unfortunately, it is also not possible to issue a refund for a supplement that your pet doesn't like or doesnt agree with them. All animals are unique with their own likes and dislikes.
You can return an unwanted item for a full refund (including minimum postage costs you could have chosen when placing your order) within 14 days of receiving it. You must notify us of your intention to cancel the order and you must return the item to us within 14 days of notifying us.
When returning an item, please ensure you take reasonable care as any damage in transit will result in us being unable to refund part or all of the money that you have paid. You are responsible for the cost of returning an unwanted item to us. Refunds are typically processed within 2 days of receipt of a returned item, but under certain circumstances, such as busy /holiday periods, your refund may take longer to process. The 14- day limit to request a refund does not apply to any item which is faulty, unfit for purpose, or not as described at the time you placed the order. For damaged and faulty items, you have 30 days to contact us. We will cover the cost of these returns and once received will process a full refund.
